CITE (Center of Innovation and Technical Entrepreneurship), the TBI established at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, supported by the DST, Government of India, was registered as a Society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, under the name – ‘NITJ Technology Business Incubator’. The NITJ TBI has a separate Board of Governors for laying down its policies and procedures so as to govern the activities for better working towards achieving its objectives.

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, an autonomous engineering and technology college,
is reckoned with the status of National Institute of Technology (Deemed university) under the aegis of Ministry of
Education, which has further declared it as “an institute of National importance” under the act of Parliament – 2007.
Formerly established as the Regional Engineering College in 1987, NIT Jalandhar is a citadel of technology and
innovation driven by the zeal, the youth of this academic station burns with.
The academia houses the finest of the faculty to chisel its mentees with finesse under their expertise. Visits from
various reputed industrial houses of India are witnessed in the Institution, which provide exposure and placements
to the final year students who are ready to carve their niche in their respective fields. Being one of the NITs, it not
only shoulders the responsibility of providing quality education in sciences, engineering and technology but also to
nurture and produce seasoned and proficient manpower with their prowess in technology and science for the
nation.
NIT Jalandhar envisions to shape and foster rich intellectual talent with interdisciplinary knowledge, human values
and professional ethics amongst the young aspirants in the field of technology and engineering so as to enable them
to contribute to their society while creating a touchstone in their specific professional arena globally.
